Collegedale military veteran to celebrate milestone birthday

Jun. 20--Bill (Winburn) Boleman, shown here with a military veteran Quilt of Valor, will celebrate his 100th birthday on June 23.
Boleman was born in 1920, his parents' 11th child. He and his wife, Sally, have been married since Aug. 17, 1946, after he returned from active Pacific Theater U.S. Army service in World War II.
He is best known as the former manager and funeral director of the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. He retired at age 91.
The Bolemans reside at Life Care Center of Collegedale. They have one daughter, one grandson and two great-grandsons.
