BRIEF: Leetsdale to host free dinner for veterans

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - 10/17/2018

Oct. 17--Leetsdale veterans are invited to a free dinner on Nov. 11 to honor their service.

Mayor Pete Poninsky and the police department will host up to 100 people on Veterans Day at the municipal building, 373 Beaver Street. Dinner is at 4 p.m.

"We just want to show our appreciation," Poninsky said. "It's an evening out for everyone."

This is the first year for the event. Veterans will eat for free and guests will pay $10.

"If we get a good response, we'll move it next year to the VFW or Legion," Poninsky said.

Seating is limited. Reservations are due by Nov. 3 at 724-624-4521.
