Northern Veterans Cemetery ? South of Spooner

Saturday, May 27: 1 p.m. at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at N4063 Veterans Way, off of Hwy. 63 south of Spooner.

"In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row..." The theme this year will be Remembering World War I. Featured speakers will be State Sen. Janet Bewley and Elizabeth Benn, Council on Veterans Programs.

American Legion Post #379 ? Birchwood

Monday, May 29: 9 a.m. at Long Lake Cemetery, reading of deceased veterans' names, 21-volley rifle salute, "Taps."

10 a.m. at Little Birch Lake North End, dropping of the wreath, 21-volley rifle salute, "Taps."

10:15 a.m., march on Main Street of Birchwood to the Veterans Memorial by village hall, short speech, and salute to deceased veterans.

11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, rifle salute, and benediction tribute to fallen comrades.

12:30 p.m., luncheon at the American Legion Post #379 in Birchwood provided by the Auxiliary.

Monday, May 29: 10 a.m. at Chicog Cemetery, speaker, prayer, reading of deceased veterans' names, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, music provided by the Northwood High School Band, reading of deceased veterans' names, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

American Legion Post #225 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9867 ? Shell Lake

Monday, May 29: 10 a.m. Shell Lake Military Honors Team marches, starting at the Shell Lake Dug Out on the west end of Main Street to Shell Lake Memorial Park by the beach.

10:15 a.m. Ceremony at Shell Lake Memorial Park, music provided by the Shell Lake High School Band, invocation, national anthem, Missing Man Remembrance, musical selection, guest speaker, reading of deceased veterans' names, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, "Taps," benediction.

Right after the ceremony everyone moves to Shell Lake Cemetery for full military honors provided by the Shell Lake Veterans Honor Guard.

Monday, May 29: 9:30 a.m. at Lampson Cemetery on Hwy. 53, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

10:30 a.m. at Spooner Veterans Memorial Park (across from Tony's Riverside restaurant), posting of the colors, music by Spooner High School Band, national anthem, pledge of allegiance, invocation, guest speaker, reading of deceased veterans' names, music, placing of two wreaths, rifle salute, "Taps," benediction.

Immediately after, Spooner Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Hwy. 70, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

Immediately following, Spooner Annex next to the Spooner Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Hwy. 70, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

1 p.m. at the Stone Lake Cemetery, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

Monday, May 29: 8 a.m. Church Service Ceremony at St. Luke's Church.

9 a.m. at VFW Post #10568 Springbrook, reading of deceased veterans' names, placing of the wreath, rifle salute, and "Taps."

9:15 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery, prayer, placing of the wreath, and rifle salute.

9:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Cemetery, prayer, placing of the wreath, and rifle salute.

10 a.m. at Spring Lake Naval Cemetery, ringing of the bell, prayer, placing of the wreath, and rifle salute.

10:30 a.m. at Anah Cemetery on Cty. Hwy. A in Crystal Township, prayer, placing of the wreath, and rifle salute.

11 a.m. at Earl Cemetery, prayer, music, placing of the wreath, and rifle salute.

11:30 a.m. Post Feed for Honor Guard and post members.
